Seapine Software Helps Ziosoft Manage System Requirements Across Two Continents to Meet Strict FDA and Worldwide Compliance

Seapine Software, a leading global provider of quality-centric application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions, today announced that Ziosoft, a world leader in advanced 3D visualization software for clinical care systems, has adopted TestTrack RM in its application development process for the end-to-end management of requirements.

Ziosoft’s innovative 3D imaging software is used by hospitals and clinics around the globe to rapidly render huge volumes of imaging data, enabling medical professionals to better visualize critical information and improve decision making. To develop this high-quality 3D imaging software, Ziosoft brings together QA and engineering resources from both its US and Japan development offices. This geographically distributed team will use TestTrack RM to manage requirements across the two continents and ensure compliance with US FDA regulations.

“Seapine truly understands the need for organizations to comply with strict federal regulatory mandates such as FDA rules,” says Hani Juha, program manager at Ziosoft. “We currently use Seapine’s TestTrack TCM to manage test cases. Adding TestTrack RM to our development process now gives us upstream and downstream traceability of project artifacts. We can generate test cases from engineering specs and marketing requirements, and other sources. This helps us to better track quality issues and perform a traceability review for internal and external regulatory audits.”

Project management at Ziosoft receives requirements from multiple sources including clinical teams, sales, marketing, and customers. Seapine’s TestTrack RM enables Ziosoft to easily create workflows to automate and enforce requirements management across the US and Asia development organizations. TestTrack RM will also help Ziosoft improve team collaboration by centralizing requirements management and facilitating and automating the requirements planning and review process.

“TestTrack RM is a well thought-out product,” adds Juha. “It’s easy to use and you can cleanly import and export data from a variety of sources. TestTrack RM and TestTrack TCM integrate so well that we’re considering the implementation of other Seapine ALM solutions in the near future.”
